Right. Well. first off heres a link to my entry -
[link]Round 2 is officially over! I cant believe how hard it was hahah! I've had a super love hate relationship with it actually, just last night in fact, I was ready to just chuck it in and leave. Having a full time job and other commitments really doesn't help when added to pressure. Plus I ended up pulling a few late nighters. I was up until 3 last night in fact haha!
But still, I'm proud of myself for actually getting it done; it was a mammoth task
to say the least.
Though the more I look at it, I'm still a little disappointed I reverted back to my old techniques. But you know, if I make it into the next round, there are a few things id like to change.
1. - Firstly, I'd like to focus more on line art, neatening them up and refining them. This was partly due to lack of time towards the end, and perhaps lack of planning. But I'd prefer to use flatter shading and more traditional comic techniques (so not painting over the line art as such). So yes, line art needs to be worked on.
2. More speech, there wasn't enough of it in mine I don't think. This was partly due to time also, I planned more on the visual side than anything else. But after looking at a few other entries, I feel it really does need a bit more talking next time.
3. And to that end, I think I also need to work on my speech bubbles and perhaps on the fonts and text styles, a few people have pointed out that myriad pro doesn't perhaps fit the tone of the panels.
4. More Pokémon. I didn't include nearly enough of them! Next round will be better because Tiber will evolve. I'm very glad however, that he has freaked so many people out. This pleases me.
5. Less dramatic lightning. Whilst it looks good and it's very effective, it's not always relevant. I know I shall be preaching her greatness very often, but after looking at

and her comic (upon which our characters link) her less highlighted aspects work fantastically well, which means that the scenes
with dramatic lighting are all the more powerful. Again with the praise but seriously, her comics are what I aspire to, so there's a lot I want to study from the ones she's put up! ( link to the start of hers here -

But yes, overall, not a bad start for a first attempt at a comic! I just hope that we have a good length of time to rest because I am seriously tired now hahah! But I'll be updating my entry form with a new image plus starting the image of an evolved Tiberius. Yeah, you thought him at 8-9ft was bad? Try 25-30 ft. I'll probably link to some other people's comics when I get the chance too, because there are so many fantastic entries out there. If anyone has any comments on the comic or in END RUN in general, I'd love to hear them. Hope everyone is doing well and thank you all so much for the support! I'm literally overwhelmed!
